On This 9th March

At times
The moments spent alone
To understand our loved ones
Far outnumber
The moments spent together
With our loved ones.

At times
The walls erected around us
Of brick and mortar
Are far easier to scale
Than
The ones we erect against
Our own flesh and blood.

Fathers are
Not to chide
Or to restrain
Sometimes,
They are there
Just so
We don’t fall apart.

They say
It’s a small world
Daddy
You went
And the distances became
Unfathomable...

mampi, fotos given here has taken me in the memory lane back with ur daddy, to whom no one can forget-who met him once even;
not to speak of me who had life-ties with him.
though God had something else in His store, which we all have accepted with folded hands.
Remembering ur daddy through ur poetic way is very appreciable .
May God bless ur thoughts with more powar to pen them down.
AMEN

Fragrances is so true every person has a particular aura fragrace. Whenever we think of that person we smell then even in their absence. Am really sorry about your dad Ma'am. But I loved the poem here-it expresses your love for him in such a touching way! I had tears in my eyes.. I am reading your blog slowly and gradually...you were right. Your blog is actually a bit of your own personality.
