FBI @ Work

Recession is so so so bad that FBI is forced to sell Malai Barf (old styled ice cream):

Please do not notice his hand and knife, for soon he wiped the knife on his jeans and 'cleaned it', no idea about the hands about where/if he cleaned them:

Mission accomplished, time for a smoke:beedi jalayee lay...

Edited to add: I did not try the Malai Barf. Could not dare to.

I admit I am seeing it for the first time in my life,I mean the selling of MaliBaraf style. I am used to street foods of Calcutta so I am immune to all kinds of infections. Some time back while working in the field one of the field labour was taking out crabs from the hole. There was a bite it usually happens. Two days later one of us dug that hole for taking samples. A snake came out from that hole. The labour who took out crabs from the hole immediately felt sick, foams came out from his mouth.

Lol. Actually, the poor street vendors get blamed, but I'm sure the kitchens of some very fancy places are as dirty. It's all in the head!

Iya-Full 2 total time pass.

Pinku-Tere liye edit kar di post.

MySpace-The golden rule is mine too, but this was too fascinating to ignore.

HDWK-bilkul ji.

Pradip-I am immune too. I fought with myself to buy or not to buy and finally did not.

Hitchwriter-You are not as lucky as me as far as the FBI is concerned.

QI-You are right, you are too right actually.

Laddu-Its tasty actually. It looked tasty too, but then I could not, I simply could not.

LOL! FBI@Work!

When I was younger, nothing tasted as good as street food :) Dad used to gross me out by saying that the vendor's sweat must be adding to the taste! Yuk! But now, somehow, I have lost my adventurous spirit :) or maybe I am just petrified of daughter following my lead :)

There are worse looking hawkers and they sell too in India. Kudos to FBI though. :)

What's a malai barf? :P

Gazal said...

YOu need "jigar mein badi aag" to try something like that.

But I feel its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Didn't the guy notice you capturing him on camera??

Making right use of cell phone camera, i suppose.

I think FBI in this case stands for Full of Bacteria and Infections.

What? you didn't try the malai kulfi for such a trivial reason? C'mon. You should try the phuchkas here in Kolkata. I bet you would end up with a stomach ache at the preparation process, but I drool over them:)

Thanks for the investigative piece!

The bureau does seem to be in dire straits and seems to have adopted the same model as the federally owned airline in India.

:D

Smitha-I love street food too. I am also avoiding it for the sake of my daughter too, hehe.

Imp's Mom-Nahi rey, ho nahi paya.

Jagjit-Sach hai ji.

D-Its old styled kulfi-not on a stick, only served on a flat surface.

Gazal-LOL@jigar mein badi aag. He didnt notice me for he was too busy serving customers.

Manish-Next time, pucca.

Sucharita-You too, Su?

Balvinder-Nahi ji, I had my cybershot at hand. What an ingenious expansion of the abbreviation.

Mahesh-You are seeing it for the first time here, I suppose. IT was when you had gone to the Bhagsu temple.

IHM-I just hope he doesnt read this blog.

Ritu aka Gabbar-baat toe sahi hai.

Lazyani-I am not that delicate. Will go to Calcutta and will try the Phuckhas surely.

SS-LOL.

Oh, ok. This must be some-region centric, I presume, because I haven't seen it in this part of the country.

Mampi, where was this kulfi wallah? At Kangra enroute DharamShala? Many years ago, we had our kulfi at Kangra, the kulfi wallah had put something called 'katira' (if memory serves right)in it which is supposed to be an anti-dote to any amount of power-cuts or soaring mercury.

Sujata said...

So you did not try FBI's barrf? Chicken....
